Sales Representative (IT/E-Commerce) |
Responsibilities:
Assists customers to determine their current and future service needs by giving them advice on appropriate computing technologies, industry structure, and industry trends. Propose services which support the customers' IT strategies.
Respond to tenders and complete the tender register where appropriate.
Identify opportunities to enhance business systems/marketing.
Stay current with all corporate/industry news, Products, Systems, Updates, Etc.
Develop, present and negotiate sale of solution led service proposals architected to maximize customer benefit and aligned to customer IT strategies.
Knowledge:

Responsibilities:
Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN. Provide end user support for all LAN-based applications. Install and configure workstations.
Assist in the maintenance of the network infrastructure to continue the security and integrity of the company network. Assist in the monitoring of network performance and initial response.
Perform and maintain system backups
Support server systems, including installation, application deployment and maintenance.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Some independent judgment is required.
Occasional after hours work or on call duty may be required.
Must have qualifications:
MCP, MCSE 2000 or 2003
Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 S ystems
2+ years of IT Support Experience
Knowledge:
In depth hardware knowledge / A+
Unix/Linux/BSD operating systems IP, Wireless, LAN/WAN, VPN
Firewall/NAT Theory
Anti-virus / anti-spam filtering
Exchange, IIS, ASP.NET, Java
Backup hardware and software
Network management systems and software, including protocol analyzers
